Offer Description: To investigate the impact of a new pharmacological compound targeting neuropeptides on social behaviour in mice. To assess the effects of the treatment on various behavioural parameters. Conducting long-term treatments in mice. Behavioural assessment of the animals following treatment. Carrying out various behavioural tests designed to characterise social and emotional behaviours. A preclinical study aimed at characterising the effects of a pharmacological approach targeting neuropeptides on social and emotional behaviour in mice. The project will be carried out within the 'Astrocytes & Cognitions' team. Requirements: Research Field Neurosciences Education Level PhD or equivalent Research Field Psychological sciences Education Level PhD or equivalent Research Field Psychological sciences Education Level PhD or equivalent Languages FRENCH Level Basic Research Field Neurosciences Years of Research Experience 1 - 4 Research Field Psychological sciences » Cognitive science Years of Research Experience 1 - 4 Research Field Psychological sciences » Psychology Years of Research Experience 1 - 4 Additional Information: Eligibility criteria Key skills - Certified training in animal experimentation, including surgery and experimental procedures. - Experience in surgery and stereotaxic injection in mice. - Proficiency in the main behavioural tests used in mice to assess: anxiety; social interactions; ultrasonic vocalisations. - Use of specialist software for behavioural analysis in mice. - Proficiency in image analysis and processing software. Behavioural Skills - Teamwork. - Rigorous approach and adherence to experimental protocols. - Ability to carry out experiments independently. - Organisation and monitoring of experiments.
