Evaluation of the effects of exposure to environmental contaminants in complex biological systems

Description

Offer Description: The project will focus on the study of the effects induced by exposure to environmental contaminants in complex biological systems, with the aim of understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms associated with the risk of chronic diseases. The activities will include sample preparation and treatment, the analysis of biological responses under different experimental conditions, and the evaluation of biochemical and metabolic alterations induced by exposure. Advanced analytical platforms based on liquid and gas chromatography coupled with low- and high-resolution mass spectrometry will be developed and validated for the qualitative and quantitative characterization of complex molecular profiles. Data will be integrated through statistical and bioinformatic analyses to identify molecular signatures associated with exposure, with particular focus on oxidative stress, energy metabolism, and cellular adaptation processes.
