Offer Description: RECTOR OF THE SILESIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY announces the competition for the position assistant (F/M) in the group of research and didactic workers in the Department of Urban and Spatial Planning at the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, 2A Akademicka St. Job description: the competition for the position of assistant is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and the Statute of the Silesian University of Technology of 3 June, 2019 (Legal Monitor of SUT of 2020, item 339 as amended), estimated work commencement date: 01.12.2026, workplace and type of contract: Department of Urban and Spatial Planning at the Faculty of Architecture, temporary employee contract. period of employment: from 01.12.2026 to 30.09.2028 (with the possibility of extension). Requirements: 1) holding a master's degree or master's degree in engineering architecture in the field of: architecture/urban planning/related fields, 2) participation in thematic conferences or symposia, 3) knowledge of Polish and English at a level sufficient to conduct classes. Additional requirements: 1) publications in peer-reviewed journals, 2) expertise and experience in the analysis of urban processes, as well as in the planning, design, and transformation of contemporary urban structures, 3) professional experience in the field of architecture, 4) documented organizational achievements and, preferably, achievements in public outreach, additional advantages will include: 5) experience in urban planning projects, competitions, or workshops, 6) experience in teaching at a university in a department related to architecture and urban planning. A person chosen through a competition for employment will be required to submit a certificate of no criminal record from the National Criminal Register (KRK).
