Apply for this funding opportunity through our online application form. Apply now Our Health and Social Care Delivery Research (HSDR) Programme is inviting outline applications to their commissioned workstream. We are interested in receiving applications that address research priorities identified by the James Lind Alliance (JLA) Priority Setting Partnerships (PSP) . In this funding opportunity we are looking to receive applications for research studies addressing JLA PSPs' research priorities, rather than to conduct a PSP itself. Through the JLA PSP rolling funding opportunity, we would welcome applications addressing the AHG research priorities. Proposals that demonstrate alignment with the Office for Life Science’s (OLS) Addiction Healthcare Goals (AHG) programme aims - catalysing innovation in treatments and technologies and building a pioneering UK-wide research ecosystem across the NHS, third sector, criminal justice and community settings - are particularly encouraged. Through the JLA PSP rolling funding opportunity, we would welcome applications addressing this research priority and the HSDR programme is likely to fund one study in relation to this research priority. However, applications are not restricted to this area of research and are not required to include this research priority. Applications must be in the remit of HSDR Programme, and the primary outcome measure must be health related. The following research programmes are also participating in this funding opportunity: Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation (EME) Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Invention for Innovation (i4i) Programme Grants for Applied Research (PGfAR) (via Programme Development Grants (PDG) funding) Public Health Research (PHR) Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) Research Programme for Social Care (RPSC) After checking the programme remit, you should apply directly to the relevant programme funding opportunity . Applications which span the remit of 1 or more programme are also welcome. This is a 2-stage funding opportunity. To apply for the first stage you should submit an outline application. If invited to the second stage, you will then need to complete a full application. Eligibility See our HSDR Programme page for details about the overall programme remit and eligibility criteria. Studies within a trial or review This funding opportunity is eligible for a SWAT/SWAR (study within a trial or study within a review), which can help significantly improve methodology of future research as well as the host study. Find out about the benefits of SWATs/SWARs and how to include one in your application . Apply now The JLA Priority Setting Partnerships facilitate patients, carers and clinicians to work collaboratively to identify research priorities in particular areas of health and care. Their aim is to ensure that health research funders are aware of the issues that are important to the people who need to use the research in their daily lives. NIHR research programmes fund research across the National Health Service (NHS), public health and social care to meet the needs of those who plan, provide and receive care and services. The programmes recognise the importance of the research priorities identified by the James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnerships, and are interested in receiving high-quality applications which address them. We are looking to receive applications for research studies addressing JLA PSPs' research priorities, rather than to conduct a PSP itself. Proposals must be within the remit of one of the participating research programmes and the primary outcome measure must be health related. Applicants should note that: proposals should reference which JLA PSP and which research priority is being addressed a clear rationale and justification should be given for how the proposed research contributes towards addressing the research priority. applicants should clearly state how their proposed research addresses a current evidence gap and how the research adds value to the existing NIHR research portfolio
