Offer Description: CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB Job location: ICRA – Catalan Institute for Water Research, Girona (Spain) Number of positions available: 1 Expected start: January 2027 Temporal Position. The position is for 6 months Gross Annual Salary package: 24.000€ – 40.000€ OFFER DESCRIPTION Previous results of our research group show the existence of patterns in the territory, associated with water use and climate change, which affect both society and aquatic ecosystems, in terms of risks and water security. This requires a detailed analysis of the existing data, and their treatment through advanced statistical and modelling techniques. Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate a research technician who is an expert in statistical tools, GIS and modelling, so that they can define patterns of current and future use of water resources, and the current and potential effects on aquatic ecosystems and social uses of water. KEY DUTIES Processing and interpretation of data using statistical tools, GIS and modelling, aimed at making a detailed analysis of the impact caused by the current and future use of resources on aquatic ecosystems and social uses of water Requirements: Research Field Environmental science » Ecology Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalent Research Field Environmental science Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalent Research Field Biological sciences » Biology Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalent Skills/Qualifications EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Must have – Required Research Field or Field of knowledge: Ecology Qualifications and Education Level: Minimum university degree in Biology or Environmental Sciences. Master’s degree is valuable.
