Offer Description: The University of Cádiz is offering a part-time research post as part of a study on marine food resources and the development of new products, specifically within the project entitled: Study of the potential of seaweed as a food preservative in marine products (CONMAR) Requirements: Research Field All Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalent Skills/Qualifications The successful candidate will be required to carry out, amongst other things, the following tasks:  Obtaining and preparing the final reports.  Assisting with the receipt and handling of samples.  Planning and conducting the shelf-life study.  Monitoring the storage study.  Determining quality, freshness and food safety parameters.  Assisting with the dissemination, transfer and justification of the project. Master’s degree with a focus on biotechnology and/or food science. Experience:  Previous experience in the field of biotechnology applied to food.  Experience in food microbiology.  Experience in laboratory work and the use of equipment for food analysis. Languages: English, level B1 or above Other:  Previous experience with algae or other marine resources will be considered an additional merit.
