Offer Description: It is hereby made public that, by order issued on April 24, 2026, by the President of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC), Carlos Manuel da Silva Rodrigues, in the exercise of his own powers, pursuant to the provisions of subparagraph d), of paragraph 1, of article 92 of Law No. 62/2007, of September 10, and subparagraph f) of paragraph 2 of article 30 of the Statutes of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC), approved by Normative Order No. 7/2009, published in the 2nd series of the Official Gazette, No. 26, of February 6, 2009, with the amendments introduced by Normative Order No. 17/2021, of June 28, a period of 30 working days is open, starting from from the business day immediately following the publication of this notice in the Diário da República, documentary competition, for the recruitment of one Assistant Professor, under a public service employment contract for an indefinite period, with a five-year probationary period, for the Disciplinary Group of Sports Sciences, Tourism and Leisure, in the Disciplinary Area of ​​Sports Sciences, Specialty of Nature Sports, of the staff chart of this Polytechnic University, in accordance with the provisions of articles 10-B, 15, 15-A, 17 and 29-B of the Statute of the Teaching Staff Career of Higher Polytechnic Education, approved by Decree-Law No. 185/81, of July 1, amended by Decree-Law No. 207/2009, of August 31 and by Law No. 7/2010, of May 13, hereinafter referred to as ECPDESP, in conjunction with the Competitive Regulations for the Recruitment of Career Teaching Staff of IPVC — Order No. 7986/2014, of June 18, with the amendments introduced by Order No. 3476/2021, of March 31. Requirements: Research Field Other Education Level PhD or equivalent Skills/Qualifications General requirements: only candidates who, by the application deadline, cumulatively meet the general requirements set out in Article 17 of the General Law on Public Service Employment (LTFP), approved by Law No. 35/2014, of June 20, and in Article 12-E of the ECPDESP, may apply for this competition. Special requirements — In accordance with Article 17 of Law No. 35/2014, of June 20, and Article 12-E of the ECPDESP, only those who, by the application deadline, hold a Doctorate or Specialist Title in the area of ​​Sports Sciences or related fields may apply. Specific Requirements The jury also decided to consider only candidates who demonstrate absolute merit for the competition, and those who cumulatively meet the following requirements will be admitted: i) A minimum of two scientific publications indexed in SCOPUS or Clarivate in the specialty of the competition, in the last five years.
