Offer Description: It is hereby made public that, by order issued on April 16, 2026, by the President of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC), Carlos Manuel da Silva Rodrigues, in the exercise of his own powers, pursuant to the provisions of subparagraph d) of paragraph 1 of Article 92 of Law No. 62/2007, of September 10, in its current wording and subparagraph f) of paragraph 2 of Article 30 of the Statutes of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC), approved by Normative Order No. 7/2009, published in the 2nd series of the Official Gazette, No. 26, of February 6, 2009, with the amendments introduced by Normative Order No. 17/2021, of June 28, a period of 30 working days is open from the date of publication. The next working day after the publication of this notice in the Official Gazette, a documentary competition for the recruitment of one Assistant Professor, under a public service employment contract for an indefinite period, with a five-year probationary period, for the Disciplinary Group of Education and Teacher Training, disciplinary area of ​​Geology, specialty of Geoconservation Applied to Education, of the staff chart of this Institute, in accordance with the provisions of articles 10-B, 15, 15-A, 17 and 29-B of the Statute of the Career of Teaching Staff of Higher Polytechnic Education, approved by Decree-Law No. 185/81, of July 1, amended by Decree-Law No. 207/2009, of August 31, and by Law No. 7/2010, of May 13, hereinafter referred to as ECPDESP, combined with the Competitive Regulations for the Recruitment of Career Teaching Staff at IPVC — Order No. 7986/2014, of June 18, with the amendments introduced by Order No. 3476/2021 of March 31. Requirements: Research Field Other Education Level PhD or equivalent Skills/Qualifications General requirements: only candidates who, by the application deadline, cumulatively meet the general requirements set out in Article 17 of the General Law on Public Service Employment (LTFP), approved by Law No. 35/2014, of June 20, in its current wording and in Article 12-E of the ECPDESP, may apply for this competition. Special requirements: Only those holding a doctoral degree in the field of Geology, specializing in Geoconservation Applied to Education or another field considered relevant and appropriate by the majority of the jury members; or the title of specialist in the disciplinary area and specialty for which the competition is open, may be admitted to this competition.
