The first component, Component A will review the accessibility of information on support services available to seniors and/or their caregivers across all federal, provincial and territorial (FPT) jurisdictions and to identify common barriers. The objective of Component A is to understand what support services are the most frequently requested across the 14 FPT jurisdictions and why the access rate for information is more elevated, especially as it relates to barriers in accessing them. The second component, Component B, will use the results from Component A and identify, in collaboration with FPT Officials a number of case studies to analyse the mechanisms through which seniors and/or their caregivers learn about and/or access support services aiming to build awareness and improve access to service navigation supports. This would also include policy recommendations for jurisdictions to consider in enhancing service navigation support for seniors.
