The role We are seeking an experienced, proactive library professional to lead engagement with departments supporting the Pre-clinical Medical and Veterinary Medicine Tripos (MVST). This varied role combines teaching, collection management, and relationship-building to support learning, teaching, and research across the School of Biological Sciences (SBS) As Liaison Librarian (MVST) you will Design and deliver training sessions in partnership with staff and colleagues across SBS and SBS Libraries Teams. Deliver library services across Biological Sciences Libraries. Lead on academic liaison with the designated Departments. Line manage a Senior Library Assistant. Contribute to shared team goals by collaborating effectively and fostering a supportive team culture. What we are looking for Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with stakeholders. Experience delivering teaching, training, or learning support both online and in-person. Knowledge of academic information resources and databases, with experience in developing user-focused STEM library collections and services. Innovative problem-solver with experience in teamwork and staff supervision. A customer-focused professional with a commitment to excellent service and flexibility to work across multiple sites.
