Its mission statement is as follows: "MT is a partner and a business enabler that champions change and efficiency, leveraging a common purpose". Thus, among other support activities, it assists a scientific manager in recruiting the right expert, helps a technical officer coordinate the purchase of radiation equipment, and ensures that all Board documents are translated and distributed on a timely basis to Member States. The Office of Procurement Services procures goods and services with over 180M Euros per year, a third of which is for delivery to counterparts in Member States, and the remainder is for delivery to the IAEA's Headquarters in Vienna, and its offices and laboratories. The Division procures, among others, specialized construction services, specialized equipment for use in the wide range of areas related to nuclear and radioactive technologies, activities and material, including medical area, as well as various laboratory supplies and analytical instruments. Main Purpose The Office of Procurement Services (MTPS) seeks a procurement consultant to conduct and implement a set of outstanding and major procurement projects. Reporting to the Team Leader(s), the consultant will provide subject matter expertise in procurement. Functions / Key Results Expected • Provide procurement expertise and advice. • Conduct specialised market research and suppliers' base analysis. • Produce procurement documentation and reports related to the development and implementation of the procurement portfolio of the projects. • Develop and advise on procurement strategies and/or risk plans. • Provide advice and support during the procurement evaluation process. • Conduct price analysis, bench marking and suppliers' due diligence. • Develop and track key performance indicators for measuring suppliers' performance. • Track timelines, progress and implementation of the procurement portfolio of the projects. • Report on the progress of the projects' procurement portfolio, as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Procurement Qualifications and Experience University Degree (bachelor) preferably in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Project Management or any related field. Minimum one year of relevant experience in procurement, logistics and/or project management preferably within an international organization. Experience in any of the following fields is an asset: international procurement, project coordination, drafting of action plans and other relevant documents. Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an asset. Remuneration The remuneration for this consultancy is a daily fee of up to a maximum of € 250, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided. Health coverage and pension fund are the responsibility of the incumbent.
