You have: Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in International Development, Psychology, Sociology, Law, international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law or any other related field. 5 years of relevant work experience in Child Protection, A minimum of five years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection related areas is required. Experience in leadership and programme management, child protection systems strengthening and service delivery, policy, legislation and advocacy, justice for children and violence prevention, alternative care and social service workforce, humanitarian action and MHPSS is required. Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or the local language (Sinhala and/or Tamil) is an asset. Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset. Proven expertise on child rights monitoring using international child rights mechanisms, standards and processes is an asset. Proven experience in resource mobilization is considered as an asset. Understanding of governance in a decentralized context (national-provincial) and experience in supporting national-subnational levels of implementation is an asset. Demonstrated experience in supporting governmental partners in designing and conducting child protection reforms, including scalable pilot projects is an asset. Experience in providing direct technical expertise or collaborating with technical experts to provide support to child protection partners for strategic changes and impact at scale is an asset. Experience in developing strategic and operational partnerships with government and civil society for child protection, including in emergency contexts is an asset. Experience in working across partners and agencies, with strong capacity in coordination and convening of high-level actors to deliver results is an asset. Contract This is a NO-3 contract.
