IOM works to promote cooperation, assist in the search for practical solutions to migration challenges, and support the systematic and humane management of migration in order to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need. The "Promoting Sustainable and Socially Inclusive Labour Market Integration" project aims to increase the formal employment of Syrians under Temporary Protection, persons under International Protection and Turkish citizens, and to strengthen the harmonization process in Türkiye. Activity 4.3.4, implemented under the project, aims to contribute to the enhancement of social cohesion between migrants and host communities in Türkiye through an improved and localized implementation of the National Action Plan on Harmonization. In this framework, the activity seeks to strengthen the capacity of Provincial Directorates of Migration Management to analyse, prioritize and plan local-level social cohesion solutions aligned with national strategies. The primary objective of the Local Harmonization Action Plans is to analyse the current situation in the fields of migration and harmonization at the provincial level, strengthen coordination among public institutions, develop policy recommendations based on local needs, and support the effective implementation of the Presidency of Migration Management's local harmonization policies. To this end, Local Harmonization Action Plans will be prepared for 20 provinces with a holistic perspective, covering the activities of all units of the Directorate General of Harmonization and Communication of the Presidency of Migration Management, as well as activities identified by local stakeholders, in order to address social cohesion needs at the provincial level and provide locally specific solutions. Currently working as an academic in a relevant field is an asset. Experience At least 3 years of relevant experience in migration studies, social cohesion policies, or related fields.
