You have: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or a related field with five years of relevant professional experience. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or a related field with seven years of relevant professional experience. Professional certification as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CIMA, or ACCA is an advantage. Experience in Financial and Human Resources Management at the international level. Field experience, including coordination and cooperation with international institutions and coordination bodies. Experience in supervising the development and implementation of administrative control procedures, coordinating external auditing exercises. Experience using corporate IT systems and software. Experience managing financial processes for donor-funded projects, including projects funded by the United States Department of State (US DOS) is an advantage. Fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an advantage. Contract This is a P-3 contract. This kind of contract is known as Professional and Director staff . It is normally internationally recruited only . It's a staff contract. Eligibility for this call for Expression of Interest (EOI) is limited to internal and external candidates who are currently part of the Pathways Pool. The selection for this assignment will be carried out through the Pathways Pool process. Organizational Context and Scope Under the direct supervision of the Head of Resources Management (HoRM) in Pohnpnei, Federated States of Micronesia, and in close coordination with the Head of Sub-Office (HoSO) in Chuuk, the Resources Management Officer will be responsible and accountable for supervising and managing the budgetary, financial, human resources (HR) and other administrative functions of the Sub-Office in Chuuk and providing support in these areas to staff. Qualifications Required Qualifications and Experience Education Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or, Bachelor’s degree in the above fields with seven years of relevant professional experience. Professional certification as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an advantage. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
