You have: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Public Health, Social Services, Engineering-Environmental, Behavioral Science, Sanitary Engineering, Civil Engineering, Disaster Management, International Development, Health Communication, Humanitarian Studies and any other related fields At least 1 year of relevant work experience in United Nations, Emergency, Water & Environmental Sanitation, Response, Social and Behavior Change, Hygiene, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Resilience, Anticipatory Action, Humanitarian Response, Program Management and any other related fields Fluency in English and Portuguese is required Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset Advanced University Degree or Further years of experience in the relevant fields is an asset International Organizations Experience, Developing Countries Experience, DRR Experience, Early Recovery Contract This is a NO-1 contract. The Angola Country Office (CO) is looking for a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Officer where WASH is a major component of the Country Programme 2024-2028 . The WASH Officer reports to the WASH Specialist NOC on climate resilient WASH and WASH in emergencies but also needs to support the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Anticipatory Action (AA) agenda across all programmatic sections. Purpose of the job: The WASH Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming processes, with the application of theoretical and practical technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting programme information while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures to support the development, implementation and monitoring of the Climate Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction output results of the Country Programme.
