Daily Job Alerts: Stay Updated, Stay Ahead with Pro Membership UN Talent Pro Details This UNV assignment is part of UNDP/PAPP’s Economic Resilience Programme (MASARAT), which adopts a holistic and integrated approach towards strengthening micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) at the firm, value chain, and systems levels, while building human capital through employer-led skills enhancement and job placement pathways. The programme is designed to support the recovery and resilience of MSMEs by unlocking their potential in both local and export markets, while addressing structural barriers within the enabling environment. Anchored in a market systems approach, MASARAT promotes transformational change and fosters the adoption of innovative and sustainable economic models that position Palestinian MSMEs to become more resilient competitive and growth oriented. By doing so, the MASARAT contributes to the emergence of a more inclusive, diverse, and resilient economy and livelihoods in the West Bank. To this end, MASARAT works to improve MSMEs’ access to tailored technical and financial support services, while also enhancing their ability to diversify markets and build stronger linkages across value chains in high-potential sectors. At the ecosystem level, MASARAT focuses on strengthening the institutional and operational capacities of business associations, government institutions, and private sector support organizations to develop and deliver collective solutions, high-quality services, and inclusive financing mechanisms. MASARAT also fosters constructive dialogue between public and private sector stakeholders to identify and respond to emerging challenges, creating a more responsive and enabling business environment. Scope of Work : The Economic Resilience Coordinator will provide hands-on support to programme implementation, partner capacity development, field monitoring, adaptive learning and visibility. The Coordinator will maintain close engagement with implementing partners, supported businesses and other stakeholders, serving as a practical link between implementation on the ground and programme management. The role will generate field-based evidence and insights to strengthen the quality, coherence and responsiveness of MASARAT interventions. Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Project Manager or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Economic Resilience Coordinator will: Field implementation and partner engagement Maintain regular field presence and close engagement with implementing partners, businesses, beneficiaries and relevant stakeholders. Follow up on agreed activities, milestones and actions, and identify implementation delays, bottlenecks and emerging risks. Provide practical coaching to partners on implementation planning, beneficiary tracking, monitoring, documentation and reporting. Assist partners in addressing implementation challenges and applying agreed corrective actions or programme adjustments, and escalate issues requiring managerial, contractual or operational decisions to the Project Manager. Monitoring, adaptive learning and programme coherence Conduct regular field monitoring and verification through site visits, interviews, beneficiary engagement and review of partner records. Review partner progress reports, knowledge products, data and supporting evidence informing programme planning, implementation and results framework. Maintain implementation, beneficiary and results-tracking tools and organize relevant monitoring evidence in collaboration with implementing partners. Identify and document intended and unintended outcomes, including changes in business practices, institutional capacities, market relationships and access to economic opportunities. Develop practical recommendations for adapting activities, strengthening partner support or introducing complementary interventions within the approved programme framework. Identify opportunities to strengthen linkages and synergies across employability, MSME development, value chains and enabling-environment interventions. Facilitate outcome-harvesting and reflection exercises and prepare outcome statements, case studies and learning pieces. Programme implementation, coordination and visibility support Provide the Project Manager with regular, concise updates on implementation progress, partner follow-up, field findings and emerging opportunities.
