The purpose of the consultancy is to produce a defined set of analytical and knowledge products during the ECAMENA transition. These include a workshop report, reviews of specific evidence products, documentation of selected survey innovations, a practical transition note, and research papers on MICS innovations in MENA. The assignment is time-bound and linked to the deliverables and deadlines specified in the Work Assignment Overview. Minimum requirements: Education: Master’s degree in economics, Demography, Statistics, Epidemiology, Engineering or other related technical field with significant measurement, analysis or quantitative research background Years of Experience/ Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required*: At least 15 years' experience in data analytics and research. Extensive experience with supporting national data systems including child-centric surveys. Experience of working with UNICEF or other UN agencies on child-related SDGs. Experience providing technical support to governments and UN country teams. Work Experience: At least 15 years of experience in quantitative research, data analytics, household survey methodology, or related applied research fields. Demonstrated experience producing methodological reviews, analytical review notes, or peer-review style comments on complex evidence products. Experience with child-focused statistics, household surveys, MICS or similar survey programmes, and national data ecosystems. Experience preparing publication-quality analytical papers, research briefs, or journal-style manuscripts. Language Requirements: Fluency in English and excellent written communication skills. Knowledge/Expertise/Skills: Strong quantitative analysis, research synthesis, and methodological review skills. Knowledge of child poverty measurement, multidimensional deprivation analysis, or comparable child-focused analytical approaches. Familiarity with MENA data contexts and regional/international data partnerships is an asset. *Listed requirements will be used for technical evaluation in the competitive process.
