In this hands-on role, after dedicated training in the team you will contribute to the improvement of thin-film coating technologies through the design, fabrication, commissioning and operation of physical vapour deposition (PVD) equipment. Functions: Design mechanical components and coating equipment using 3D CAD tools and produce the associated manufacturing and assembly drawings. Assemble, install, test, commission and operate physical vapour deposition coating systems and their associated equipment. Manufacture and modify metallic and ceramic components using conventional machining and computer numerical control (CNC) | Qualifications: Technical certificate or general secondary education or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience: Experience in conventional and CNC machining operations, particularly milling and turning.
