How could clinical research transform cancer surveillance for people with Lynch syndrome? On 8 September 2026, PREDI-LYNCH will bring researchers, patients and health-policy experts together in Bratislava and online to explore the challenges, expectations and potential impact of two European clinical trials. The European PREDI-LYNCH project will open its First Annual Meeting and General Assembly with PREDI-ROUND I: Clinical Trials in Lynch Syndrome – Expectations, Challenges and Future Impact , a public hybrid roundtable taking place at Comenius University Science Park in Bratislava and online. The discussion will bring together leaders from the PREDI-LYNCH and PREDI-ENDO clinical trials alongside patient and health-policy representatives to look beyond the research itself and explore what it could mean for people living with Lynch syndrome and healthcare systems across Europe. The two trials address different but complementary clinical questions. PREDI-LYNCH is evaluating a multimodal surveillance strategy using blood, urine, stool and vaginal samples across several cancers associated with Lynch syndrome, while PREDI-ENDO is exploring less invasive approaches for the earlier detection of endometrial cancer. Together, speakers will discuss the opportunities and challenges behind the trials, what meaningful progress could look like for patients, and what evidence will be needed to translate research results into clinical practice, scalable solutions and equitable access. “PREDI-LYNCH has a clear ambition: to improve cancer surveillance for people with Lynch syndrome through earlier, more accurate and less invasive detection approaches,” said Mev Dominguez Valentin, Coordinator of the PREDI-LYNCH project . “This first PREDI-ROUND will give us an important opportunity to consider not only what these clinical trials are testing, but also what will be required for their results to deliver meaningful benefits for patients and health systems across Europe.” Moderated by Carla Oliveira, Principal Investigator and Group Leader at i3S , the roundtable will feature Toni Seppälä, PREDI-LYNCH Trial Leader; Neil Ryan, PREDI-ENDO Trial Leader; Tamara Milagre, President of EVITA and Patient Representative; and Prof. Tit Albreht, President of EUPHA and Health Policy Expert. The public session will include an introduction to the two trials, a moderated discussion and a live audience Q&A.
