Under the supervision and guidance of the Deputy Representative (Programmes), you provide specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes under the oversight of the Deputy Representative (Programmes). Your role will involve substantial engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to anticipate needs and challenges, and the capacity to coordinate effectively across the office. It also demands the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive matters, while consistently upholding the organization’s core values. Incumbent exercises judgment, anticipates needs, and recommends actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation and reporting results. The Programme Associate (G‑6) is embedded within Programme Section, reporting to a Supervisor or Section Chief. This role bridges operational delivery by liaising regularly with multiple units—Programme, Operations, Finance, Supply—and with external partners (government ministries, NGOs, donors).
