Key Responsibilities: MEAL & Child Protection in Emergencies Intern Remote within the US World Vision Internships offer a three-month opportunity for talented students and recent graduates eager to dive into the international relief and development field. Internship Opportunity Join World Vision’s Humanitarian Operations team and contribute to strengthening the evidence that informs humanitarian responses around the world. The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) and Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) teams work together to understand what is working, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that learning is translated into better outcomes for children and communities affected by crises. As a Humanitarian MEAL & CPiE Evidence and Learning Intern, you will support a joint evidence and learning agenda by bringing together research, program insights, and operational learning from across World Vision and the wider humanitarian sector. You will help identify key patterns, gaps, and emerging trends, while transforming complex information into practical learning products that strengthen emergency programming and improve outcomes for vulnerable children. What You'll Do: Support Evidence Synthesis: Review and synthesize research studies, evaluations, assessments, guidance documents, and program learning related to humanitarian MEAL and Child Protection in Emergencies. Contribute to Strategic Learning: Organize evidence around priority learning questions, identify strengths and gaps in available knowledge, and support the development of concise learning products for internal audiences. Analyze Humanitarian Data and Trends: Review selected program and response data to identify patterns, emerging issues, and learning opportunities that improve program quality, accountability, and child outcomes. Explore CPiE Evidence: Examine evidence related to child protection outcomes, integration of child protection across humanitarian programming, localization and local systems, and approaches that better capture children's experiences. Develop Learning Products: Translate technical information into accessible outputs such as evidence summaries, briefing notes, presentations, dashboards, and data visualizations. Support Knowledge Management: Organize evidence, datasets, and learning resources to improve access and use across humanitarian responses and teams.
