AI Application Assistant Details Job Title Information Management (IM) Specialist The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the world’s leading NGOs, with a focus on responding to displacement, have been registered in Sudan since 2004, delivering life-saving programming in protection, emergency response, shelter, food security and livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, camp management, and humanitarian mine action. DRC has implemented projects in Central Darfur, South Kordofan, Gedaref, Port Sudan, and White Nile. Sudan hosts one of the largest displaced populations in Africa, with over 3.7 million internally displaced people and over 1.1 million refugees from South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Central African Republic, Chad, Yemen and Syria. Against a background of political crisis, Sudan faces economic and social turmoil, with sharp increases in food and energy costs, further exacerbated by disease outbreaks and ongoing conflict. POSITION PROFILE Overall purpose of the role : The Information Management (IM) Specialist will be responsible for the set up and roll-out of a coordinated and consolidated information management system for the FCDO HOPE S programme. This includes development of a common database tool, development of a PowerBI dashboard, maintaining IM information, data cleaning, and carrying out data analysis process for monitoring data collected across the consortium. The position will support the MEAL Coordinator in ensuring quality quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of program-related data collection and information management systems. The position will play a key role in contributing and supporting programming and advocacy through streamlining the collection, analysis, and sharing of information in accordance with professional standards. This work will further contribute to improved, evidence-based programming through improving the production and analysis quality of IM products, including monitoring reports and rapid assessment snapshots to be shared internally and externally to key stakeholders. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities Information Management Ensure the set-up of a harmonized interoperable information management system that facilitates data sharing and coordination across the consortium and feeds into the wider protection analysis in Sudan Overall responsible for the development of Consortium’s information management systems seeking feedback from consortium on PIM matrix system, tools, and approaches and using systematized and collaborative framework. Maintain and regularly update Consortium’s information systems, including databases and dashboards, to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security. Lead on developing, rolling out and regularly updating PowerBI dashboard based on newly developed data collection toolset (as agreed with technical focal points on the regularity) Responsible for collecting, assessing, analyzing, and disseminating information (quality reports, dashboard information, etc) with the relevant key stakeholders Produce programme snapshots and dashboards on a monthly basis, highlighting key issues and trends in coordination with Consortium while maintaining GBVIM minimum standards, GDPR minimum standards, donor and DRC data protection policies. Support the production of thematic reports or other IM materials in consultation with Consortium partners Process data, compile and disseminate information for use in various protection-related materials, including but not limited to reports, briefings and analysis Provide IM technical support to consortium IM focal points, including ongoing training and capacity building Lead on Information Management, including data collection processes and protocols, and monitoring tools. Work collaboratively with RIMS team, acting as a focal point for the consortium in the set up/roll out of training on using referral information management system Support on service mapping and documenting guidance on referral pathways Undertake other tasks as requested by the Chief of Party Data Quality and Protection: Ensure data protection and confidentiality are maintained in line with DRC’s data protection policies, FCDO policies & GBV IMS/GDPR minimum standards, ensuring Data Sharing Agreements are in place and key components of the DSA are understood and rolled out/implemented Responsible for storing and maintaining data for the consortium as per GDPR guidance/GBV IM Standards Develop and implement data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of data collected across pro
