Organizational Context and Scope The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Ireland has been operating in Ireland since 2001, currently in following areas of migration management: Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR), Resettlement, Family Reunification, Counter-Trafficking (CT), Protection, Integration Support to Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection, Integrated Immigration Governance and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). IOM provides mental health and psychosocial support to international protection seekers residing in the Citywest accommodation facility with the aim to improve their psychosocial well-being and to strengthen their overall resilience. Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and the direct supervision of the National MHPSS Officer, the Project Associate – Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) will be responsible and accountable for providing efficient programmatic, financial assistance and support, including the day-to-day administrative, Human Resources (HR) and finance tasks related to the implementation of the MHPSS project. Qualifications Required Qualifications and Experience Education Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or, High School diploma with five years of relevant experience. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. Experience Proven experience in a similar setting and capacity; Excellent knowledge of information technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Experience with EU and/or international funding instruments, in financial management and reporting, accounting, budgeting and internal controls; Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy & confidentiality in performing responsibilities; Strong interpersonal & intercultural skills with an attention to detail; and, Previous work experience in international organizations and service industry companies would be an advantage. Skills Interpersonal skills (i.e. empathy and emotional resilience); and, Knowledge of financial, administrative and human resources matters. Languages All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish). For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
