Colleagues.org Details Introduction Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator (Community Stabilisation Programme), and in close coordination with relevant governmental counterparts, municipal authorities, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders, the Project Associate – Field Coordination will be responsible for supporting the implementation and field-level coordination of the EU for Communities programme within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AoR). Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration, International Relations, Development Studies, Community Development, Project Management, Economics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or High School diploma with five years of relevant professional experience. EXPERIENCE Experience in supporting the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of community development, community stabilization, humanitarian, or development projects; Experience working with local authorities, community representatives, civil society organizations, international organizations, and other stakeholders; Experience conducting field visits, beneficiary consultations, community outreach, awareness-raising, and stakeholder engagement activities; Experience assessing community or beneficiary needs and supporting the design and implementation of project interventions; Experience in project monitoring, data collection, reporting, and maintaining programme records and databases; and Experience supporting livelihood, entrepreneurship, small business development, or economic empowerment initiatives is an advantage. SKILLS Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills; Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement within established procedures; Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; Strong report writing, monitoring, data collection, and information management skills; Ability to work effectively with diverse communities, authorities, and stakeholders in a multicultural environment; and Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Languages All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish). REQUIRED For this position, fluency in English, Albanian and Serbian is required (oral and written).
