Employee Contract Type: Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)Job Description: Designation: Gender & Social Inclusion (GESI) Coordinator Job Location: Nairobi Reporting Line: Senior Program Manager - THRIVE Grade Level:14 Job Purpose To provide technical leadership in program implementation, program monitoring and evaluation in relation to Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) integration across programmes focused on economic empowerment, environment and climate change with specific interventions at the community and household level. This includes capacity building and technical assistance to staff, government, civil society and community stakeholders. Please Note: World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization with a mission centred on following Jesus Christ in service to the world´s most vulnerable children. Therefore, in all locations to the fullest extent legally permissible, the successful applicant will affirm our core documents, observe conduct compatible with Christian principles, serve at a high level of professional ethics, and strive to act in accordance with cultural sensitivities. Furthermore, regular attendance with team and office devotions, chapel, and prayer gatherings are expected in line with policies in the World Vision host location and its departments. Duties and Responsibilities: Technical Leadership and Program Implementation Provide technical leadership to the THRIVE Project to ensure integration of gender and inclusion in program interventions focused on economic empowerment and social/behaviour change such as World Vision’s Empowered Worldview, Savings for Transformation (S4T), iMSD, and FAST. (Eighty percent [80%] of LOE will be dedicated to the THRIVE program, and 20% to Regreening for the Future and Kenya Water Towers projects.) Lead development and implementation of GEDSI integration for program team and partners across the different project outcomes and contexts. Develop practical training materials and references according to local context and conduct relevant Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion training sessions for staff, partners, local authorities, and other stakeholders. Oversee project staff capacity development on GEDSI and equip them with skills to address GEDSI issues within the THRIVE Program. Provide quality assurance for GEDSI project model implementation, in accordance to WV Kenya’s NO Strategy and WVI GEDSI Theory of Change. Promote gender and social inclusion to ensure that vulnerable populations –particularly women, youth, persons with disabilities- are engaging with project structures for THIRVE and the Regreening for the Future and Kenya Towers Projects. Disability Inclusion in project approaches, tools, and information to meet the needs of persons with disabilities. Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability, Learning and Innovation Conduct GEDSI assessments and reviews to assess ways to continually target involvement of vulnerable groups targeted under the 3 projects (80% LOE -THRIVE, 20% to Regreening and Kenya Water Towers projects) Integrate gender equality considerations in Results-Based Management monitoring and reporting methods Develop tools, frameworks and resources to enable better GEDSI integration in the Project Track and report against GEDSI indicators and disaggregate data by sex, age, and disability to analyse results within each domain. Lead the capacity building initiatives of communities and partners on monitoring and ensure participatory data collection for THRIVE. Review and provide technical feedback on results and project reports to donors in order to ensure quality and full compliance with GEDSI policies and progress towards achieving gender equality and disability inclusion and social inclusion. Identify successful practices in the project that can be showcased in publications, communication materials and conferences Prepare communications materials that highlight the Project’s GEDSI programming, successes and lessons learnt Provide opportunities for capacity building to the program team in consultation with GEDSI Advisor and P&C to ensure proper technical, managerial and personal development, as well as maintenance of an inclusive work environment.
