Make an Impact Through Finance Are you a finance and accounting professional who wants to contribute to meaningful development work? We are looking for a Treasury and Accounting Officer who will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient management of funds, accurate financial reporting, and effective treasury operations that support programs and projects across the country. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in accounting, treasury management, and financial operations, particularly those who have worked with NGOs, donor-funded projects, or development organizations. What You'll Do As Treasury and Accounting Officer, you will provide financial and operational support by ensuring timely fund transfers, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supporting treasury and compliance functions. Accounting and Financial Management Process and oversee accounts payable transactions from invoice processing to payment release. Review and authorize invoices with identified discrepancies for resolution and payment. Prepare and post journal entries, including month-end accruals. Manage fixed asset records, including asset creation, updates, and maintenance. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in SAP within the correct accounting period. Classify financial transactions according to the approved chart of accounts. Maintain accounting records and support financial reporting requirements. Treasury and Banking Operations Consolidate and monitor bank reports. Ensure timely completion and submission of banking requirements and documentation. Manage electronic banking access, including user applications, updates, and deactivation. Prepare and submit required government remittance forms and related documentation. Cash Flow and Fund Management Consolidate projected cash inflows and outflows from various projects and departments. Coordinate closely with program teams, budget holders, grants, and finance stakeholders to gather funding and expenditure forecasts. Prepare fund requests and support cash flow planning and forecasting activities. Assist in ensuring sufficient liquidity for program and operational requirements. What We're Looking For Qualifications Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, treasury, or financial management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with SAP is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Preferred Experience Experience working with NGOs, international development organizations, or donor-funded projects. Knowledge of project accounting, grants management, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with treasury operations and cash flow forecasting. Other Requirements Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and professionalism. Willingness to conduct field visits to project areas when required.
